Sleeping

How he sleeps cracks me up - so I keep taking pictures of it.

christmas

All dressed for Christmas Eve (his hair is wet, not gelled - don't panic)
Opening presents is serious buisness

Sledding

The snow finally melted enough by Christmas Eve that we thought we could take Dylan sledding. Before then it was so high he couldn't walk.

He is a big fan of sledding.

But not a fan of rubbing your face with wet mittens.
He'll tough it out to keep sledding though

What could be more fun

Holiday spirit

Dylan loves to help bake cookies. We made cookies for Santa and he was a big help.
He measured

He helped mix
and he cut out the cookies

He also modeled some fashionable holiday hats...

He is such a ham

THE BIG SNOW

There was over 2 feet of snow. Dylan helped dig out Audi.

Then took a rest
What's better after playing in the now than a nice smores cookie (and trucks)

Can't fool Dylan

Santa came to visit Dylan this morning. He was doing a test run and had presents for kids that were extra good this year. Pay close attention when Dylan faces the camera in the first few seconds. (He says "Whoa, Bob") He waited till he opened his trucks until he spilled that he was up to our tricks. As he gave Santa a cookie we baked for him he looked at us and said "Dat Bob in dere" We tried!

Watch out Mozart

Another big hit Christmas present is his new piano. Listen as he composes 'the Daddy song', 'the Mommy song' and of course 'the Lula song'.

Dancing Truck

Really - what could be better? He got a truck for Christmas that 'dances' and sings - we caught him practicing some sweet moves. The moves get more complicated as the video goes on.

Pajama time

We decorated and took our family Christmas PJ picture last night. Dylan didn't want to sit with us, instead he wanted to put his arm around Lula and told her to 'say cheese'. We were able to trap him for a few cute shots, but it was exhausting.

New Hat

I just finished Dylan's new winter hat. I am working on a sweater to match....hopefully I will get it finished before spring...

Success!

Dylan was a big fan of Santa this year. He needed to tell him that he wanted trucks for Christmas. I can't scan the picture we got, but here are some of him and his friend Alexa on their way to Santa.

Leaps and Bounds

Dylan had his 2 year old checkup today. The doctor came in and asked him how old he was and he smiled and answered "2!"

At his 18 month checkup he was in the 25% for both height and weight. He obviously did some hard work over the past 6 months - he is now in the 90% for height (I know - I asked twice) and 50% for weight! He was 37.5 inches tall and 28 pounds. Doctor said he looks great.

He was a perfect patient and let the doctor look in his eyes, ears and even said 'ahhh' when he looked in his mouth.

Next step - pediatric dentist appointment - yikes!

EDIT: I have tried to duplicate these hight results and I think he may have been standing on his tiptoes.....I can only get to 34.5 inches. That is about 50% - which makes more sense.

Fall Day

We were outside while Anthony was doing leaves today.

He did some sliding

He rode the tricycle.

He laughed at daddy with the blower backpack on.

And he loves running up and down the hill in the back.

He also practicing his driving skills....not big on the steering yet....

Halloween

Some Halloween pics in case you missed it.

Build A Bear

On Dylan's birthday we went to Build A Bear on a playdate with his friends.
There was dancing:

There was hugging:
Dylan's new monkey: "Lightning McMonkey" got a bath:

It was a very cute little playdate

Happy Birthday Trucks

This video is from October 25. Dylan was very into birthdays that week. He was playing trucks on the floor and I asked him what he was doing. He told me the trucks were having a party. I asked what kind of party and he said "Happy Birthday!" Here is a video of the truck birthday party complete with some singing.

Monster! Scare Me! Ahhhhh!

Somehow Dylan learned that monsters scare you and you scream and run away. I don't think he actually knows what being scared is, but it's pretty funny. (The card he is holding has a monster in it.)

ABC March

Here is the famed ABC march. Notice the fake 'fall' that totally fooled Anthony!

Beginings

So, in order to post more pictures and share more videos I decided to start a blog. This way I can write more about what is going on in our lives and not worry about clogging people's email. Look here for pictures of events, funny videos, and updates on various craft projects I've been doing.
