Happy Sean

Sometimes it is hard to get a good picture of Sean because his brother is "unintentionally" mangling his face...

But when he is alone, he is starting to play to the camera too...

Halloween Parade

Halloween parade at school today. Dylan dressed as Lula and they went trick or treating around the shopping center.

Sean wanted to be in the parade too

first moves

Sean is a roller. It's effortless...

The action happens in the last 20 seconds - for some reason I can't upload the edited versions from my flip software.

Sewing machine redeemed

I turn my back on Sean in the crib for one minute and look what happens....

that is a true thumbsucker if I ever saw one..

In other news...

Last year we (Ann and I) made Dylan a froggy costume

it was not easy and I vowed not to do it again. Until February when pregnancy brain struck and I decided I could definitely make BOTH kids costumes. So I ordered patterns and fabric thinking I was getting a great head start. Then it was busy season, then I was a large uncomfortable pregnant person, then I had a newborn .... you get the idea. So we started the costumes late, and then realized that Dylan had a growth spurt and his costume was 2" too short. We thought about still doing Sean's, but it was pretty complicated and at the end of the day he isn't doing much treat or treating this year. So we threw in the towel and I went to the internet with my credit card.
But I needed to accomplish something with at least some of the fabric I had bought. So today I made Dylan a dinosaur hat..

I was able to do it in under 2 hours with both kids - not too shabby. So why not push the envelope and add a dinosaur shirt?

2 projects between lunch and dinner (and I actually made dinner too). Not a bad day.

Growing Up

Sean is growing up fast. He slept in his crib last night for the first time. He is also ready for the fun sitting up toys. His favorite part may be that he is in the playroom at eye level with his big brother. He could not stop watching Dylan play. And Dylan did a great job welcoming him into the playroom - we all shared some make believe cookies while Sean drove the car.

before bedtime

Sean thinks Dylan is really funny too - or he wants to eat his nose, either one
I finally get Sean to smile and Dylan is watching Dora...

look - more hats. Who doesn't need a Shrek hat?
