at 4 months they cooperate

and they do what the shirt says

Finally did it!

We got a decent family photo!
So the key is to let Dylan push the button for the timer -he thinks this is fun and then laughs as he runs to the couch...however he does sometimes knock the camera slightly resulting in a little bit of a crooked picture...
And then we adjust and go crooked the other way

But we got there

Sean is watching Dylan (as always)
But we got it and I am posting every one since it is the first decent family photo in 4 1/2 months!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just some pics

Just sharing some more from their professional shots

This one is just magic in his eyes
Sean is happy (who needs a neck really?)

Dylan was hanging from a tree branch

Yep, that drool went right on mommy

feeding the koi crushed up goldfish...that has to be wrong on some level

adventures in the excersaucer

4 months is big stuff - besides rice cereal you can also try out the excersaucer. Luckily Sean has a older brother that likes to help him learn how to use these cool new toys.
It's all a little overwhelming at first

It helps when someone shows you the ropes
That makes it much more fun
Verdict is : he likes it. (and yes there is spit up on his pj's - just trying to keep it real, there is ALWAYS spit up on him)

Options

3 pillows, a bed and a sleeping bag and he is out cold on the rug

YUMMY

Sean got the OK to start rice cereal so we broke out the high chair and gave it a go. He wasn't sure what to expect but he was excited about the cool new seat.

He did open up for the spoon

Then my helper wanted to give it a try. He did a pretty good job.

I'm not sure if he likes it or not...

But at least he keeps opening up!

4 months

Here's the monthly review...he is getting really big.

Happy Birthday Dylan

Dylan is learning to trace letters in school. Yesterday he got out his cards and started tracing by himself. Ok, so his B has something to be desired, but the rest of his letters are looking really good.

Three is a dramatic age, so we will just stick to the highlights.

Dylan 'helped' make his cupcakes

he tried out his new roller skates (the grass was a little easier than the street)

He got lots of great presents

He was happy when we brought out the dirt cake which was in a dump truck.

Family pictures are pretty much impossible right now...this is the best we got, which is pretty poor

and when it was all over he crashed in his sleeping bag on the floor of his room.

It's not easy being Sean

It's hard to be the little brother. You can be just laying on your tummy, working on lifting your head

and then BAM - your older brother gets you (no infants were harmed in the shooting of these pictures)

That brother pretends to be nice and sweet, but you know that arm could choke you at any moment, hence the look of fear.

Even kisses are suspect

and then your mom makes you sit in the same swing with him...seriously?
