Tunnels and Snowmen

The last snowstorm Dylan decided he wanted to build a snowman.  When he got out there though he realized that building a tunnel was WAY cooler than a snowman.

They eventually got a snowman head on top of this tunnel - which really is the best of both worlds.  The track around it was even engineered to guide the car right through the tunnel.  Only at this house...

Jump and jump and jump and jump

We decided Sean needed a jumperoo.  He gets so excited in his excersaucer that he was going to knock himself out.  He is very happy with our decision (if only Santa had thought of it)

A video will do better - he laughs and screams and jumps as high as he can.  One of these days I will upload one, but for now you can get the idea.

6 months

It's been half a year.  Sean has gone from this:

to this:

His little bear was the same size,And now he towers over him.

You may notice an outfit change on the bear.  Somehow Sean's bear (Navy) seems to be missing.  For the photo shoot we had to use Dylan's bear (Army) as a stand in.  This was not a popular decision with Dylan - which made the photo shoot slightly more difficult.  Sean also realized the bear was not his...

Here are the other months for reference.

The Treehouse

Probably almost 20 years ago James (aka Uncle Dude) and Bob built a treehouse in the backyard.  At the time it was luxury - complete with outdoor carpet, plastic furniture, and a roof.  It also had a zipline exit and a trampoline beneath it, plus the TV was set up there a couple times.  After 20 years though it wasn't looking so hot.  Dylan wanted to see it, but it wasn't safe for him to go into.
This brings us to the reveal of the new and improved 2 LEVEL treehouse that now stands in Bob's backyard.  The roof is original - the rest is new.

This top level is the 'sleeping level' where Dylan wants to sleep in his sleeping bag. (Oh, and he wants a TV out there)

Grandchildren get special attention - James had a ladder to get in - Dylan has a fancy set of stairs.
All that is missing is the zip line and trampoline - but he has a couple years to build on.

not-so-toothless wonder

Mr Sean has a tooth!
You're going to have to trust me on this one, cause that little tooth refused to appear on camera.

This is what I got...

and then someone really preferred that I remove my fingers from his mouth (and replace them with a bottle)

But he is very excited to have a tooth. Dylan got his first at 6 1/2 months, so Sean is ahead of the game.
